Adult Education

The Adult Christian Education Program offers a variety of opportunities: Sunday School classes address everything from books of the Bible to contemporary issues; Bible study, held two mornings a week, focuses on the lectionary readings; and multi-week daytime and evening programs, scheduled at designated times throughout the year, offer stimulating classes geared to specific topics. Sunday School speakers may be members of the congregation, experts from the community and region or noted biblical scholars in recorded lectures. Discussion is typically a part of each session.

Bible Study

Tuesdays, 5:30 p.m.

A new "seeker" Bible Study opportunity has begun at Longstreets Restaurant (on the corner of            N. Sycamore and Bank Sts. in downtown Petersburg.)  For one hour, we will discuss the lectionary      Bible readings for the upcoming Sunday.  Copies of those readings will be provided.  You may also   bring your Bible if you wish.  You are welcome to have a beverage during the class (beer, wine, soda, coffee tea, etc.)
